This Friday, April 19th, HackPittsburgh members Scott and Doug will present an introduction to knots, splicing, and general ropecraft. This is the perfect opportunity to come learn some new skills and practice tying knots that are useful for a variety of situations. Maybe you have two pieces of rope that you want to turn into one, longer piece of rope? We’ll teach you how to splice it. Want a loop that won’t slip? A bowline is in your future, my friend. Heck, we might even sing sea shanties.
Free and open to the public! The doors open at 7pm, the event starts at 7:30. We’re located at 1936 5th Avenue, in the garage around back on Watson. Look for our flag above the door.
