See with your own eyes the wonders of pyrolytic graphite, a newfangled “diamagnetic” material!

Why copper and aluminum, normally nonmagnetic metals, are strongly repelled by ac magnetic fields.

Learn how MAGLEV trains work.

The dreaded “Earnshaw’s Theorem” states that stable magnetic levitation is impossible. But witness how a simple, homemade, electronic circuit can evade Earnshaw’s theorem and stabilize the levitation of a small steel ball.

Free and open to the public! The doors open at 7pm, the talk starts at 7:30.
