Members Marty McGuire and Matt Mets made a little unboxing video for the new Make: Electronics kit. From Marty’s post:

Like many enthusiastic makers, I recently got my hands on a copy of the excellent Make: Electronics book from O’Reilly. It’s an excellent bottom-up, experiment-based introduction to electronics, but sourcing all of the parts required to complete each experiment can be an adventure.

Thankfully, the Maker Shed is now offering two components packs to help you work through the book without having to order from a half-dozen parts vendors!

Tonight at HackPittsburgh, Matt Mets and I made a little unboxing video for the first components pack, which you can see embedded above. Let me know what you think!

Let’s all give a warm Steel City welcome to Make:PGH!

Come on down to HackPittsburgh on Tuesday, Feb. 9th at 7pm and join us for a couple of quick presentations, and a group activity!  HackPittsburgh member Marty McGuire will demo his MakerBot 3D printer, and member Matt Mets will demo his laser harp!

The activity is still a mystery, so stay tuned to the Make: PGH blog and follow @MakePGH on Twitter for more updates!
